Hi Patsy,
I've been thinking about you and your question regarding alternatives to chemotherapy. There are two herbs you can research. One is called Paw Paw and the other is called Graviola. From what I've read about these herbs, they are supposed to be hundreds of times more potent than chemo. I have to be honest with you though... I have only learned of these herbs in the past year or so. I never tried them as an alternative to chemotherapy.

After researching these herbs I decided to start taking Graviola daily even though I am cancer free. I take it along with my other supplements. Anytime you decide to take herbs, you must be careful about the source. You want only the highest quality and purest product available.

If anyone else out there knows more about alternatives to chemo, please comment! We'd all like to learn more.

Janice,
Hooray for you! I just love your attitude. We need more women out there like you. It's so important to hear from women who are overcoming their challenges with ovarian cancer.

Write about your experiences as you are going through this journey. Write it all (the good, the bad and the ugly). You can start with a journal, write on your computer or even in a notepad. These writings are important and will become part of your book, published articles, and/or even part of your speeches when you begin speaking in public.

Talk to everyone you can. Speak at support groups, cancer events, church groups, luncheons - anywhere you can. Tell your story. Be your authentic self. When you do, you'll touch people's hearts. They will laugh with you, cry with you and gain inspiration and insight into ways they too can overcome this disease.

Start a website so people can find you. I just started this blog, not knowing a thing about blogging and seriouly questioning if anyone would even use it. And look! Here you are. I'm so grateful and honored to have this conversation with you, someone so far from my home. You have a new purpose now and you've set a powerful intention. We can make a difference. They way we start is by sharing our story, speaking out, bringing awareness and honesty in sharing the things we do to heal our lives. We are SILENT NO MORE!
Love and White Light,

Hello:)
Information about your seminar at Karmonos Cancer Institute was passed on to me by a friend of mine this past week. I had just had chemo on Tuesday and was uncertain how I would be feeling come early Saturday morning but I registered anyhow. I was unable to make it due to some pretty bad joint pain this morning but I wanted to participate none the less. I ordered your book this morning in lieu of the seminar:) Yes..you're correct. I have stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. I was diagnosed in December of 2008 and have just had my 4th of 6 cycles of chemo. They are talking 6 months of maintainence chemo but I will get a second opinion before I decide on that. You ask how this disease has impacted my life. Number one is I now live in an attitude of gratitude. It has also taken me back to my passion which is people. I started out in my young life wanting to counsel others. A college counselor took me another direction and I ended up an interior designer. I am ready to go back to the beginning. It is my dream that when I finish therapy to take classes in counseling and public speaking. You are my hero! you are doing exactly what I see myself doing in the not so distant future. I have recently joined the NOCC and am attempting to promote awareness and education in my area. Do you have any suggestions for me as to what would be a good way to proceed from here. I am looking at this as a beginning not an end.
